Registration:  A non-refundable fee of $50 per student is due annually and holds the dancer’s placement in the classes of their choice. 

Payment of Tuition, Costumes & Recital Fees:  During dance recital week, the student will be rehearsing and/or performing several nights.  This is considered the last month of dance or June fees. Costume fees are estimated; every effort is made to keep these costs at their estimated price, if there is an overage, you will be notified for payment. Tuition, Costume & Recital fees must be made by one of the following options:

               * Payment by Automatic Checking/Savings/ Credit Card or Debit Card: 

Tuition will debit from your bank account or charged to your credit card on the 1st, 5th or 10th of each month from August-June.  You must sign an auto-debit or automatic credit card charge authorization form.  Please provide a voided check or your credit card to begin the automation. Package fees and any additional costume will be charged no later than Oct 15th.

               * Payment in Full

Payment in full for lessons (Aug-June) and package fees at time of registration will be accepted by cash, check, debit or credit card.  You will receive an in-studio gift certificate for choosing this option. Adult dance students are excluded due to already discounted fees.  If you enroll in Aug-Oct the certificate is $30, Nov-Dec is $20 and Jan-Mar is $10. In the event you withdraw, the amount of your gift certificate will be charged to your account. 

Parent’s Responsibility to be Aware of Dates and Events:  It is the responsibility of the parent/dancer to be aware of studio activities such as, recital, extra practices and dates the studio is open or closed.  The studio will post all such notices, as well as sending notices home with the students.  If severe weather occurs, please call the studio after 3:00 PM. Snacks and bottled water are to be paid by the honor system.  Each student has a folder provided for them.  It is the parent’s responsibility to check their folder weekly to ensure they are informed.  It is the responsibility of the parent/dancer to inform the studio of any address, telephone number changes or any other pertinent information.  

Miscellaneous Fees: Incidental fees such as dancewear, shoes, etc. must be paid by check, cash or credit card at the time of purchase.  In the event of a NSF (insufficient check or credit card; including auto checking/savings or auto credit card), I hereby authorize DMC Dance to electronically debit my account for the amount owed, plus a $30 processing fee. For any adjustments made to the student’s paperwork, there will be an additional $30 processing fee. If a purchase is left unpaid it will be automatically debited from your account on file.  

Withdrawal and Refunds:   There is two-month minimum for all dance classes. A one-month notice is required to discontinue any classes.  Withdrawal must be done in person and a withdrawal form provided by the office must be signed.  Withdrawals are not accepted over the phone.  Withdrawals for dance will not be accepted after April 1st. Automatic bank debiting or credit card charges will stop after the one-month notice.  Packages are non-refundable after Oct. 15th.  Dance Masters by Christy and Co. /DMC Dance/ DMC School of Dance LLC reserves the right to terminate lessons to any students without notice.  In such case, a refund for unused lessons will be given. It may take up to 30 days for refunds to be given and accounts to be settled. Dance package items must be picked up within 30 days of notification that they are ready. If they are not picked up within 30 days the unclaimed package items will be returned to inventory.  

Dress Code:  Dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes. Ballet I-IV requires pink tights and a solid color leotard, hair in a bun and bangs/hair out of your face.  Tap and ballet combination classes are to wear tights and leotard of any color. Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop classes dress is Jazz/Yoga pants, capris or booty shorts and a tight tank top, sports bra or dance shirt.  Failure to wear required dancewear to class could result in students being asked to sit out of the class.  Repeated failure to wear required dancewear could result in termination of lessons.  Students are not permitted to wear jeans, soffee shorts (cheer shorts) or street shoes.  Dance shoes are never to be worn outdoors!  For safety reasons, dancers are asked not to wear jewelry and hair must be tied back and out of the face at all times. 

Attendance and Tardiness:  Please call if a student will be absent so the teacher can be informed.  The studio reserves the right to have students who come late to class sit out of the class due to the importance of warming up. An injured or ill student (without a fever) may come to watch the class and will count as attending.  A 24 hour notice must be given to cancel & receive a credit for payment of a private lesson missed. 

Care of students:  DMC is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students; therefore, students are asked not to arrive more than 10 minutes before class starts.  The parking lot and lobby have limited space; we appreciate your cooperation in this matter.  The studio doors remain locked until 10 minutes before the first class of the day.  Students should not wait outside the studio at any time.  Parents, legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on studio property from any activity conducted by the students before, during or after class. Any dancer arriving or left more than 10 minutes before or after their class time may be charged an additional fee per our discretion.  

Photo Release:  The studio is hereby granted permission to take photographs of the students to use in brochures, web sites, social media, posters, advertisements and other promotional materials the studio creates. Permission is also hereby granted for the studio to copyright such photographs in its name. 

Expectations:  Students need to come to class on time with a positive attitude, ready to dance and prepared to learn.  Our #1 priority is to help build self-esteem, character, teach qualities and responsibilities for a life time of success!
